President’s Welcome
Welcome to the official website of Omicron Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®. Located in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois, Omicron Delta Omega Chapter was chartered on March 24, 1984.
Our chapter is home to 37 active and engaged members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sisterhood and our programs of service, friendship, fellowship, and philanthropy touch many in this community. Such as the vision of nine college-educated women on the campus of Howard University in 1908, our chapter continues to make a positive impact toward social change in the Bloomington-Normal community, and the hard-working women of Omicron Delta Omega are committed to the mission of “service to all mankind.”
Under the leadership of our 31st International President, Danette Anthony Reed, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® remains a necessary 21st-century service organization that addresses some of the greatest human rights, civil rights, and social issues in our society today. The sorority’s 2022-2026 International Program Initiatives under the platform of Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood, addresses community needs with programs in six target areas:
- Strengthen Our Sisterhood
- Empower Our Families
- Build Our Economic Wealth
- Enhance Our Environment
- Advocate for Social Justice
- Uplift Our Local Community
