FreeThe Bloomington-Normal Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and the Omicron Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® cordially invite you to participate in a non-partisan Candidates’ Forum on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at the historic Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 801 W. Market Street in Bloomington, Illinois. The purpose of the Candidates’ Forum is to provide McLean County voters an opportunity to hear from candidates discuss issues of importance to the local governing bodies to which they are seeking election. Audience members will hear from candidates for the school boards of Unit 5 and District 87 at 5:30 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. From 7:00 p.m. – 8:45p.m.audience members will hear from candidates for the councils of Bloomington and Normal and the Heartland Community College Board of Trustees. The event is free and open to the public, regardless of political affiliation.
